The Future Is Better.
We're Building It Together.

Nkiruka Wellness is a Black woman-led public health organization dedicated to improving health literacy, expanding access to care, and eliminating health disparities – one community at a time.

Together for a Better Future

We believe every person deserves access to accurate health information and the resources to act on it – regardless of where they live, what they earn, or who they are.

Our Four Pillars of Health Equity

Everything we do is grounded in four interconnected commitments:

Health Literacy

Educating individuals on their health rights, anatomy, and preventive care so they can make informed decisions with confidence.

Access

Removing structural barriers by providing free supplies and referrals to trusted providers because access is a right, not a privilege.

Empowerment

Elevating the voices of women, youth, and underrepresented populations, so communities shape their own health futures.

Community Engagement

Collaborating with community leaders, cultural groups, and local health workers to create sustainable, lasting solutions.

Nkiruka Wellness was founded by Nnenne Asi, MPH – a Nigerian-American public health professional with over a decade of experience in community organizing, health education, and public health consultation. Our work spans two continents and centers the people most often left out of mainstream healthcare conversations.

Programs That Meet Communities Where They Are

From reproductive health education in rural Nigeria to tobacco prevention in North Carolina classrooms, our programs are designed to be culturally grounded, evidence-informed, and community-led.
