Services

Nkiruka Wellness provides community-based public health services that are evidence-informed, culturally responsive, and designed to reach the people who need them most.

Our services span education, direct support, and community partnership – with all programs grounded in our four pillars: Health Literacy, Access, Empowerment, and Community Engagement.

Reproductive Health Education

We provide comprehensive reproductive health education for women, girls, and young people - covering anatomy, menstrual health, consent, contraception awareness, and reproductive wellness. Our sessions are facilitated in culturally sensitive, judgment-free environments, and are adapted for different age groups and community contexts.

Who it's for: Women and girls in underserved communities; youth in schools and community settings.

Where we deliver it: Abiriba, Nigeria and North Carolina, USA.

Menstrual Equity & Supply Access

We distribute sustainable menstrual products - including menstrual cups and reusable pads - to individuals experiencing period poverty. We also work to establish free reproductive health supply closets in community health facilities to create lasting points of access.

Who it's for: Women and girls with limited access to menstrual health products.

Where we deliver it: Primarily Abiriba, Nigeria; expanding to additional locations.

Youth Tobacco Prevention & Cessation

Through our tobacco prevention programs, we educate young people about the risks of tobacco use and provide evidence-based cessation support. Our Youth Tobacco Treatment Coordinator brings specialized expertise to every session, ensuring young people receive practical tools, not just information.

Who it's for: Youth and young adults in schools and community organizations.

Where we deliver it: North Carolina, USA.

Sexual Health Education

We deliver comprehensive, age-appropriate sexual health education that goes beyond biology - addressing healthy relationships, consent, STI prevention, and sexual wellness. Our programs are designed to meet young people where they are, with facilitators who reflect and respect their cultural backgrounds.

Who it's for: Youth, young adults, and families.

Where we deliver it: North Carolina, USA - charter schools, churches, and cultural organizations

Community Health Education & Outreach

Beyond our signature programs, Nkiruka Wellness offers tailored health education sessions on a range of public health topics for community groups, cultural organizations, and faith communities.

Topics are customized based on community need and may include chronic disease prevention, mental health awareness, nutrition basics, and more.
